A Dedicated Professional Piano Teacher
Elena is an exceptionally accomplished and versatile pianist,
whose musical journey spans over two decades as a soloist,
teacher, and collaborator. With a decade of dedicated experience
in piano instruction, she passionately guides her students towards
their musical aspirations, tailoring her approach to suit each
individual's unique needs.
Elena's teaching philosophy centers on nurturing a strong technical
foundation while empowering her students to embrace their artistic
individuality. With her expertise, she supports and inspires students
to achieve their musical goals, fostering a love for music that extends beyond the piano.
As a member of the Music Teacher National Association and Music Teachers' Association of California, Elena takes pride in serving her community as a devoted teacher. Her students have achieved remarkable success, receiving numerous awards from various competitions and excelling in ABRSM exams and CM tests with impressive scores.
As a performer, Elena's recital and performance venues include
halls in New York, Illinois, California, Croatia, Italy, Austria,
and Taiwan. She also received numerous awards in various music
competitions in the US and Taiwan, such as Artist Presentation
Society, MTNA piano competition, Taiwan Taipei International
Piano Competition, and Illinois Piano Institute concerto
competition, and performed with Sinfonia da Camera in Foellinger
Great Hall at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.

Elena’s educational background includes a Doctoral of the Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance and Literature with a cognate in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she received a full scholarship and living stipend assistantship. She received a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, as well as a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano from National Taiwan Normal University. She has studied under the guidance of renowned pianists and educators Timothy Ehlen, Yoshikazu Nagai, and En Wang. She has performed in masterclasses and been coached by prestigious musicians such as Leon Fleisher, John Perry, Boris Berman, Dang Thai Son, Leonel Morales, Natalia Trull, and Ian Hobson.
